THEREFORE….

  • “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time…” (I Peter 5:6)
  1. At the point of surrender to Christ, and experiencing repentance, baptism and deliverance – we realize there are many things we don’t know that we previously thought we knew. This should humble us immensely and give us an understanding that it’s time to stop (“BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD” – Psalm 46:10), to push a complete reset button and be willing to be remade in any way the LORD sees fit.
  2. At this point, we willingly step off the “throne” of our life, and acknowledge the LORD in HIS rightful place on the throne, with complete authority, rule and reign from this point on. We desire every single thought, word and action from this point on to be HIS, no longer our own. We seek to be taught in this season, to learn God’s ways in place of the ways we previously knew and practiced. The season to teach others will come, but this is not the time. We need our minds renewed by Christ. We need to learn the mind of Christ and the ways of Christ in all matters, and THEN share them with others. This is a process that takes time. Absolute surrender to Jesus, and being humble and teachable are key.
  3. Our previous Christ-less, self-oriented life and ways disgust us. We are not happy to have previously opened doors to doctrines of demons, and want very much to close all possible doors, and to keep them closed by not returning to ANY of our former ways, in ANY way. Any thing the LORD reveals to us, that is not pleasing to Him, and is contrary to His mind, His will, and His ways, we are now willing to die to, destroy and have nothing to do with any longer. This is important not only for ourselves, but also for those around us – our sphere of influence. Others need to see Jesus, and HIS truth, and HIS light…. NOT us, or our fleshly ways, or our previous darkness….
  4. Our prayer, thoughts and actions are now, “LORD, have YOUR WAY…. ALL the way… in EVERY way (at the expense of ANYTHING contrary)… Glorify YOURSELF, LORD, in everything we think, say and do. In Jesus’ name… Amen.”
