The LAST CALL

Our God is a consuming FIRE! There is only ONE WAY to escape the burning fury of His WRATH, and that is to REPENT (turn away from your own ways) and SURRENDER FULLY to God’s loving, compassionate CALL to be SET FREE from self and defeat, and instead be RESTORED, and MADE NEW and WHOLE in Him alone. You’ve seen how doing things your own way leads to DISSATISFACTION and DESTRUCTION – but the DESTRUCTION YET TO COME will be FAR WORSE!

God created man to walk with Him in the cool of the day, but he wanted a better way. He placed upon himself a mantle which was never meant to rest upon his shoulders. Instead of SURRENDERED SON of the MOST HIGH GOD, he became SELF-ORIENTED SUPPLANTER, attempting to usurp God’s throne by sitting upon it himself, striving after the wind to create his own path and accomplish life in his own strength.

A day is coming SOON when ALL FALSE PROPHETS, FLATTERERS, SCOFFERS and REJECTERS of GOD’S GRACE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST shall come to a place of RECKONING. You KNOW NOT when your LAST opportunity to REPENT will be, to RECEIVE the LORD’s offer of FORGIVENESS, REDEMPTION and RESTORATION. If you reject God on THAT DAY, you will find that instead of the GRACE and KINDNESS He’s showered upon you thus far, you will face the JEALOUS, RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT and WRATH OF GOD which previously He MERCIFULLY WITHHELD.

The line has been drawn – sides are being taken – final moments are FLEETING QUICKLY….

“COME AWAY WITH ME,” the final call of the Master’s voice rings out as the stage is being set.

Behold, He stands behind our wall; He is looking through the windows, gazing through the lattice. My Beloved spoke, and said to me: “Rise up, My love, My fair one, and COME AWAY. For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land… Rise up, My love, My fair one, and COME AWAY!” (Song of Solomon 2:9-12,13)

Some are ANSWERING His call and finding themselves FEASTING at HIS TABLE – and the MASTER HIMSELF is FEASTING WITH THEM like never before….

Others are REJECTING His call in pursuit of OTHER THINGS….

“A certain man gave a great supper and invited many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, ‘Come, for all things are now ready.’ But they all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’ And another said, ‘I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I ask you to have me excused.’ Still another said, ‘I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.’ So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, ‘Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’ And the servant said, ‘Master, it is done as you commanded, and still there is room.’ Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.'” (Luke 14:16-24)

RUN TO HIM, you who are weary and worn! RUN TO HIM while the DOOR is still open! There is NOTHING worth REFUSING Him for! Life is HARD because you were NEVER MEANT to do it on your own! GOD’S WAYS are not burdensome, as the enemy of your soul would like you to believe! HIS WAYS are PERFECT! Yes, His path is NARROW and HARD, but it also holds within it HIS MERCY, and GRACE, and BLESSING, and GLORY, and FREEDOM from all that BINDS YOU! The LORD ALONE is the ANSWER to every question you’ve ever had, and the FULFILLMENT of every longing you’ve tried so long to fulfill.

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is GOOD; BLESSED is the man who TRUSTS IN HIM! (Psalm 34:8)

“Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my Beloved among the sons. I sat down in His shade with great delight… He brought me to the banqueting house, and His banner over me was love.” (Song of Solomon 2:3-4)
